Social Media Reacts To Nas Linking Up With 21 Savage For 'One Mic, One Gun' Single
Nas and 21 Savage dropped a new single titled 'One Mic One Gun' and social media has mixed feelings about it.
We previously reported that while on Clubhouse, 21 Savage speaks on Nas’ relevancy. He says, “I don’t feel like he’s relevant,” he explained. “I just feel like he got a loyal fan base. He still makes good music.” While on the call, 21 was asked his definition of relevance. “Mostly connected or appropriate to what’s being done to be considered,” he then said in response.
After the comments went viral, Nas’ brother Jungle had an opinion of his own. He comments under The Shaderoom’s post, “21 Savage is trash. Glad Nas dropped KD3 so fans can hear real bars…21 can you do something for me? (laughing emojis).”
21 followed up and says his comments were taken out of context. He explains via Twitter, “I would never disrespect nas or any legend who paved the way for me y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it…”
Nas also entered the chat. While teasing the new single, he captions the promo pic "Nas x @21savage TONIGHT Only way we moving is with love, respect and unity. The foundational principles of hip hop. Excited to collaborate with my young brother and I hope more artist use turbulent moments and turn them into a time to make new art. That’s what it’s about.."
