Young Thug on bond after prosecutors fear he’ll be a danger to society. Prosecutors also fear Thug will intimidate witnesses. His trial date is set for Jan. 2023.
Jada Pinkett on Will Smith slap:
During a new episode of Jada Pinkett’s
Red Table Talk, she broke her silence about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the
Oscars. She started off the show acknowledging the alopecia community. When Jada spoke on the wild Oscar night, she said her deepest hope is for the two “intelligent” men, Will & Chris to have an opportunity to heal, and reconcile the state of the world today.
Tasha K launched appeal in Cardi B. case:
Months after losing her case with
Cardi B, the YouTuber, Tasha K, launched her appeal to overturn the $4 million defamation verdict. During court, Tasha’s legal team claim a judge excluded a wide range of “key evidence” about the Cardi B.’s “character” and didn’t let jurors see who Cardi “truly is.” Tasha’s attorneys also argued Cardi’s lawyers failed to prove Tasha
intentionally lied about Cardi.
R. Kelly’s final attempt to avoid life:
R kelly denies taking part in a bribery scheme surround his marriage to Aaliyah in 1994. In a recent court appearance, he refutes allegations he got Aaliyah a fake ID when she was 15 to get married. R Kelly was 27 at the time. R. Kelly’s legal team requested a reduced sentence of 14 - 17.5 years. He’ll be sentenced in two weeks for his sex crimes against minors.
Master P mourns his daughter:
Heartbreaking. Master P’s 29-year-old daughter Tytyana died. In an IG post, he requested privacy so his family can grieve. An official cause of death hasn’t been released, police suspect it was a drug overdose. Tytyana was on WeTv’s Growing Up Hip Hop with her brother Romeo and She was open about her personal issues on the show. Our prayers and thoughts are with Master P and his family.
Should Jim Jones “take credit” for Kid Cudi’s career?
Jim Jones is taking credit for Kid Cudi’s career. During a Recent interview at Sirius XM, Jimmy said Kid Cudi was a nobody before he hopped on the remix to kid cudi’s 2008 breakout hit, “Day N Night.” Jim explained how he put it on YouTube & someone from Hot 97 took it from there & started playing it on air. When Cudi got his deal, Jimmy was taken off the record, during the interview he said, “It happens like that but I’m solely responsible for Kid Cudi’s career. You can go tell him that, he’s gonna tell you, ‘He’s right.’”
Method Man hosting The Wire at 20 podcast:
Method Man has a new job as podcast host. HBO announced the creation of The Wire At 20, which is a retrospective of the iconic show. It’ll feature interviews with the cast, creators and will talk about how the show was more than just a police and crime drama.
