'P-Valley' Star J. Alphonse Brought To Tears While Discussing His Role As 'Lil Murda'
"P-Valley" star, J. Alphonse gets emotional while discussing his role as Lil Murda.
The stars of the hit show, 'P-Valley', joined the Tamron Hall Show to discuss the show that stole hearts all around the world. While Tamron discussed the Lil Murda- and how its rumored that J. Alphonse, would be receiving an Emmy for that role- he was brought to tears.
"Don't make me cry," he began. "It's such an honor to be able to bring such a complex story to the table and to be a representation for any and everyone. I call Lil Murda "the every" man. I'm just crying because the love is overwhelming. And being able to bring Katori's story to life, and represent a black woman, I'm grateful for it."

As much as Lil Murda is loved and well received, he's criticized just as much. We previously reported that rapper Plies gives his opinion of the show. He shared a lengthy video via Instagram explaining that the show “traumatized” him, as well as caught him by surprised. “I’m Really Traumatized!!!! Man Why Y’all Ain’t Give Me A Tutorial On “P Valley” (Show)…I Heard The Show Doing Well So Congrats To Everyone Involved!!! But Damn I Wasn’t Ready For All Dat!”
Alphonse does say that he's happy that his role is sparking so much conversation- even the hard ones. "I’m glad that these sex scenes have started those conversations.”
