Latto Responds To Rumors That Lil Wayne Denied Her Request To Sample 'Lollipop'
Latto responds to claims that Lil Wayne denied her request to sample his 2008 hit single, "Lollipop."
The 'Big Energy' rapper responded “POV: u don’t even have a song sampling lollipop,” Latto tweeted on Sunday.
The reports come on the heels of the online dispute Latto and Nicki Minaj had via Twitter. The back and forth began after Nicki Minaj's hit single “Super Freaky Girl,” was moved from the rap category to pop at the Grammys ballet.
“If ‘Super Freaky Girl’ is a pop song, what genre is ‘Big Energy?’” Nicki questioned. The war of words between the two rappers began after that.
“I have no prob being moved out the RAP category as long as we r ALL being treated FAIRLY. If SFG has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll. I’d actually LUV 2 c a more street record win- male OR female” tweets Nicki.
“Damn I can’t win for losing… all these awards/noms I can’t even celebrate,” Latto replies.
