Irv Gotti Feels Like Fat Joe 'Fooled Him' Says: 'He's Not My Friend'
Irv Gotti is sharing how he feels about Fat Joe.
The Murder INC CEO appeared in an interview at a Houston, Texas radio station and said his friendship with Fat Joe is over. Irv feels the Terror Squad rapper "fooled him." Irv said, "I feel like [Fat Joe] fooled me, he's not my friend. But in life you get fooled." Irv went on to talk about people in general in life, coming and going. He said,
"Forget Joe. They don't want me to talk about Joe. So, I won't talk about Joe, I'll talk about life. In life, everyone goes through friends. People who you thought were your friends. I'm not talking about Joe. Let me talk. In life, I have had countless friends come and go." He ended with,
"But, you know what remains consistent and why I get through all of this? My family. Because I don't really need friends."
The comment arrives after Fat Joe voiced his opinion about Irv's interview on N.O.R.E's Drink Champs. Irv revealed how he felt after Ashanti left him for Nelly after they dated for a short time. He was seemingly not over the situation, but fans pointed out that Irv was a married man at the time. In a video online, Fat Joe said,
"It's one thing if its on the documentary, but to go to Drink Champs, and to keep calling her a b*tch and disrespecting her… I'm not the brother to stand up for Ashanti. Ja Rule is standing right there."
Ja Rule responded online to Fat Joe and said, "STOP saying I didn't defend sis and all women when I clearly told Gotti stop calling Ashanti/women the B word same way I told Joe at Verzuz. Watch the interview before you talk sh*t. NOW LEAVE ME TF OUT THESE GROWN FOLK BUSINESS."
XXL points out that at one point during the radio interview, Irv spoke about airing his past relationship with Ashanti on Drink Champs.
"The one thing you gotta know about me, I am cool in my gangster," Irv adds. "I am cool with who I am as a person. That gives me the ability to talk about things that the normal person won't talk about. I don't care. It's my truth." He ended with, "It's my life. It's my story. This is what happened."
