Vince Staples & Netflix Announces 'The Vince Staples Show' Debuts Feb. 15 With Trailer
The Vince Staples Show, an anticipated Kenya Barris-produced comedy series starring Long Beach recording artist Vince Staples, is set to make its Netflix debut on February 15, according to the announcement on Wednesday (Jan. 17) with an official trailer.
The new scripted comedy series was originally announced in September 2022. In the trailer, Vince Staple recaps his insane day, which includes a shootout, issues with mascots, an argument with a fast food cashier, and much more. The trailer’s synopsis reads:
“Who’s Vince Staples? Well, that’s a tricky question. He’s kind of famous, but he’s not. He’s kind of rich, but he’s not. He’s also kind of a criminal. But he’s…not? Follow him on his daily adventures, where anything that can go wrong usually does.”
In 2019, Tracey Pakosta, Netflix Head of Comedy, said they were excited to work with Staples and his unique comedy. “It’s our mission to work with the best artists in the world,” Pakosta said. “Vince has already established himself as one of the most talented young musicians today and we’re really excited about how his sensibility – and sense of humor – will translate into a unique comedy series.”
