Over the weekend, actor Jonathan Majors was arrested for an alleged domestic dispute.
According to reports, the “Creed III” star was arrested on Saturday after the police received a call from an apartment in Chelsea. NYPD said that the victim had reported being assaulted and suffering from minor head and neck injuries.
He is currently facing assault, harassment, and strangulation charges. Priya Chaudhry, his attorney says that her client is “completely innocent” and claims that he was the actual victim of the altercation.
"We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” Chaudhry said in a statement.
She also revealed that evidence will be presented that proves that the victim retracted her statements as well as showing video footage from where the incident took place at.
“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever,” Chaudhry added. Jonathan Majors has since been released from police custody, however, two of his ads for the US Army have been pulled.
“While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete,” the Army said in a statement.
