Fivio Foreign Addresses Ice Spice & “King Of New York” Talk In New Freestyle
Fivio Foreign shares his opinion on A Boogie With Da Hoodie crowning Ice Spice the covenant title of “King of New York” in a new freestyle. In disagreement with last month’s suggestion by the Highbridge rapper, at the 1:43 mark of the On The Radar freestyle, he raps, “How can a girl be the King of New York?”
Fivio is a prominent figure in New York's hip hop scene and has referred to himself as the "New King of New York" in his music. He paid respect to Tory Lanez in his freestyle, besides sharing his opinion on the crown. “Real n-gga, hood livin’, free Tory, he in good spirits,” said Fivio.
In a recent interview with Math Hoffa, Fivio discussed the shooting incident involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, saying that he doesn't believe the narratives. “It’s no hole in their body they didn’t get shot,” he told Math Hoffa.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie praised Ice Spice on Adin Ross's podcast last month, saying she's the current King of New York. “Ice Spice got it right now,” said A Boogie. “I feel like Ice is just wildin’ right now. She got it right now.”
Talking to Ross, A Boogie With Da Hoodie would clarify what makes an artist the King of the New York, saying, “I feel like the people, the fans, make it that. I never really forced that on people. I was never on songs like, ‘I’m the King of New York.’”
He added: “It was a lot of people that was out here doing that and made people give their opinions. But on my end, that shit just fell in my lap. I’m just doing my thing. I like making fire music. The beauty of it is being able to sell out arenas.”
Ice Spice is one of the biggest acts in New York with massive hits like “Munch (Feelin U),” “Princess Diana,” and “Think U The Shit (Fart).” Her upcoming debut album, Y2K, is one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
Fivio released his latest album Pain & Love 2 in February. The album features Meek Mill, Lil Tjay, Rowdy Rebel, Swae Lee, and Sheff G.
In other news, Fivio made headlines last week after saying he doesn’t believe female rap beef is serious.
