In December 2023, the content creator/recording artist told People about the criticism she has been receiving since she announced her pregnancy on December 1 with boyfriend Le Vaughn, posing the question “How do you know.”

“I even see people saying, ‘Oh, I don’t think she’s ready. I don’t think she’s ready,'” said Bhabie. “It’s like, ‘How can you, from your computer screen, determine if I’m ready to be a mother or not?' [...] I don’t even be on [social media], so how can you determine that?” she wondered. “You know? It’s just kind of off.”

The criticism stems from Bhad Bhabie's history after the Dr. Phill appearance, which includes violent altercations, behavioral issues, and abuse. Bhad Bhabie took a break from social media in 2020 and sought professional help. At the time, her team released the following statement:

"Danielle has been working hard for the past few years and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to attend to some personal issues," a statement posted to her social media read. "For [the] past few weeks, she has been in a treatment center receiving and continuing to receive professional support. She loves her fans, and has promised to return better, and healthier than ever. Please respect her and her families privacy at this time."

In 2021, she returned to social media determined to move forward and not be held back by her past. She shared this with People.

“People who are nurses and doctors and therapists and lawyers,” she added. “Do you think if people went back and looked at them when they were 13 and 14 and judged them off that time that they would have that job and be held so high? They’re kids, they’re teenagers. But mine happened to be broadcasted all over the Internet, all over public television... I wish more people knew my story and really understood the things that made me who I am. And that they wouldn’t just look at a certain time of my life and expect me to be that person forever, especially when I was so young.”

Social media transformed the Florida native into a star after appearing on Dr. Phil in 2016. Coined the “Catch Me Outside, How Bout That” girl, Bregoli became one of the most popular celebrities at 13 years old. The viral success led to endorsements, millions, and a record deal that created the name Bhad Bhabie.

She values social media fame but acknowledges the harm it has caused to her well-being. "Social media has not only made me who I am but also is every reason I can’t sleep at night,” said Bhabie.

Bhad Bhabie earned $18 million in the first month after launching her OnlyFans account in 2021. In 2024, she is a top earner in hip-hop on OnlyFans alongside Iggy Azalea. Interestingly enough, back in 2018, she threw a drink at Iggy during Cardi B's birthday party, causing a commotion. Iggy Azalea is the highest earner on OnlyFans, making $48 million in 2023.

Bhad Bhabie is pregnant with a girl and intends to name her Kali Love.
