50 Cent Claims Liquor Brand Cost Him 'Millions' & Embezzled Money
In a recent Instagram post, 50 Cent, the owner of Sire Spirits, publicly accused Beam Suntory — the parent company of his distributor, Branson Cognac — of costing him "millions" in legal fees. Fif also claims that the company is possibly involved in embezzlement.
"They are gonna "find out I'm not the one you want to play with," he wrote in the post's caption. "I'm not the guy you want to get started. In nicest way, I'm gonna need my money by Monday."
On March 11, the Power creator filed a formal complaint with New York's Supreme Court alleging Beam Suntory was complicit in a kickback scheme in which it reportedly embezzled more than $6 million from the rapper's spirit brand by overcharging for it.
Following Fif's allegations, Beam Suntory issued a statement, denying all allegations, saying it had "no involvement in or knowledge of the fraudulent activity alleged in the complaint, and any allegation to the contrary has no basis in fact."
