Every year fans from all over the world await the Summer Jam line up announcement with high expectations!

Although weather complications forced the cancellation of the Festival Stage, the line up was filled with the hottest artists that year. The Stadium stage remained the same and included acts from the G.O.O.D Music camp, DJ Khaled, Young Thug and more.

The Birth of the NMAAHC

In September of 2016, the National Museum of African American History and Culture was opened to the public! The museum strictly goes through the impactful history of African Americans and their contributions to the world. There are more than 36,000 artifacts and 100,000 members of the museum. If you haven’t been yet, put it on your to-do list and make that trip ASAP!

R.I.P. Shawty Lo

Hip Hop lost rapper Shawty Lo in September of 2016 after a car crash in Atlanta.

The 40 year-old artist was most known for his hit record ‘Dey Know’ as well as being a founding member of the group D4L!

Beyoncé Drops Lemonade

Beyoncé has mastered the craft of making the world stop on behalf on anything she does!

On April 23rd 2016 Quuen Bey released her 6th studio album titled ‘Lemonade.’ Beyoncé premiered the announcement of the album on HBO with a series of visuals and underlying messages that left fans wanting to know more. Beyoncé’s Lemonade was released on Tidal and gave the Bey ‘Hive another reason to love her.
